After one particular scene I don't think i'll ever be able to eat hot dogs again. It seems most directors just see it as a way to get their vision on screen. The originals are classic and works of art. Certainly not the best retelling of the story, for the most part I think that all the remakes done are pointless. The stories lasting all these years and still as popular as ever to remake. I think that most directors find Shakespeare easy to emulate or 'make their own'. Guess it speaks volumes about my patience to put up with finishing the movie.

Pretty well don't think the movie is for anyone. This isn't to say it's their worst movie, but it's not really a film for everyone. Now that I'm older and have more sense I see past the crap that they fill their movies with. I guess I added their films to my list because I was trying to revisit my childhood as they were outrageous and I was young an innocent. I don't know, I guess I grew up past Troma films when I was like 12. The way they 'tip their hat' at Shakespeare is rather rude, having his image and name used for a 'band'. It's interesting how they threw in some incestuous feelings even though that belongs in another piece. The story I guess remains intact, it's just the journey they take to get there is a bit.off the original track. I mean it's an interesting take on the Shakespearean classic. I know I shouldn't expect much from a 'Troma' film but still. If you decide to watch Tromeo and Juliet you are sure to have a good campy time, as it is the only version of a Shakespearean tale that made me laugh, gag, feel 90sвЂ™ nostalgia, yell вЂњhey isnвЂ™t that Kirk from Gilmore GirlsвЂќ, and make me want to take ten showers and go to Church.For some reason I keep watching utter rubbish films. ItвЂ™s set in Manhattan with the general storyline of Romeo and Juliet but with a potpourris of bizarre characters, revealing costumes, punk music and a whole lot of B movie fun. It would be hard to explain to the school board why students were shown a movie featuring incest, daddy issues, countless sex scenes, gratuitous violence and narrated by MotorheadвЂ™s Lemmy. This is the film version of Romeo and Juliet that your cool younger English teacher wanted to show you but with better judgement decided to stick with Franco ZeffirelliвЂ™s more appropriate 1968 version. My coworker and I have since lost touch but I will always look back fondly on him as вЂњthat guy who made me watch that weird movie where a girl explodes with popcorn.вЂќ Yes thatвЂ™s just one of the bizarre dream sequences that our star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet experiences in this 1 hour and 47 minute odyssey of pure fuckery. Imagery that I can never unsee and havenвЂ™t forgotten to this day. Little did I know that soon I would be down a rabbit hole and into the bizarre world of Troma movies. In between pretending to sell performance fleece and basic tees, a coworker of mine asked me to hang out one evening and watch a movie. I was 18 years old and working at Old Navy when Tromeo and Juliet was first introduced to me. This is the most colourful Shakespeare adaptation to date. Chopped off fingers, a monster gremlin snake penis, awkward father daughter bedtime talks, cow costumes, lots of cured meat, shackles, chains, handcuffs and nipple piercings.
